We invite motivated developers and screen designer for a weekend in order to code and design together. This year provides us with the 1 &amp; 1 Internet AG premises in the Ernst-Frey-Str. 10 available above code and where you can make 24 hours.</p>
<p>Computers are more than just calculating machines that perform vile spreadsheets and word processing. One thousand and one night they kidnapped us in fantasy worlds and tells us stories of princess saving and plumbers breasted archaeologists. A thousand and one day you have brought us closer to our far remove friends, entertain us and since there are smartphones, accompanied around the clock. Computers are more than just calculators. They are an integral part of our lives, and sometimes they let our hearts beat faster.</p>
<p>The theme of this year&#8217;s Hackathon: &#8220;Beautiful Pixels &#8211; apps that caress the eyes and touch the soul&#8221;. You&#8217;ll have 24 hours time to develop together with your team an application that is more than just a collection of functions. Be it a tribute to your favorite game from your childhood or a particularly lovely designed egg timer. It will be beautiful, they will move and they must be interactive so respond to user input (eg no pure animations). They also must be able to run on iOS or Android. Both São Paulo and Berlin respectively are the catalyzers for an urban-experimental youth and music culture where trends in fashion, music and entertainment are born and established. <p>Berlin sends his DJ´s as cultural ambassadors within the framework of the initiative &#8216;Germany-Brazil 2013-2014&#8242;. VisitBerlin, the city’s agent for all matters regarding tourism and local culture, teamed up with the Goethe-Institut São Paulo, a landmark of representing German culture worldwide, and the Club Commission Berlin, the umbrella organization for clubs, labels and actors within the music scene in Berlin. Together, they enabled the Berlin Club Nacht to take place in São Paulo on the 17th, 24th and 25th of May 2013. Hosting clubs will be no-lesser then D-Edge, The Week, Yacht Club, Lions Club, Voodoohop, Clash Club and MIS / Green Sunset.</p>
<p>The event program will be expanded to include workshops, discussions, screenings, with the goal of a sustain cooperation between opinion leaders of both scenes and will provide an intensive discussion at technical level and exchange valuable know-how. In the context of a match-making session, dinners and small meetings / workshops the Berlin delegation will be brought together with local actors in the scene.</p>

<p>A clear-cut line-up of Berlin´s finest DJ´s will represent a true Berlin sound character and strive to meet all expectations that Paulistas may have of the birthplace and lighthouse of electronic music. DJ ambassadors for this edition are: Ada, Daniel Wang, Chris Bekker, Gebrüder Teichmann and Tim Vita.</p>
<p>Ada is overlapping all kinds of styles and rocks the dance floor with heart and mind. Her tunes pair greatest simplicity with soft sentimentality.</p>
<p>Daniel Wang, already having shown an exceptional talent himself says he´s in the beginning of his career. From his new home/studio in Berlin, Wang puts the world on notice: &#8220;With the spirit of Karen Carpenter and Clara Rockmore guiding me, here come classical-reggae and nu acid-disco for 2013!&#8221;</p>
<p>Today, Chris Bekker stands for energizing Progressive, Electro and Tribal-House and personalized Trance vibes. His spontaneous synthesis of sound-elements guarantees an unforgettable musical journey for everybody, who has a purpose on the dance floor.</p>
<p>When the Teichmann brothers are at the decks they ride high with the crowd, like two guys on a natural high, jumping, raving, always wearing that distinctive Teichmann smile, an euphoria reflected in the music and a smile you can&#8217;t help returning. The Teichmann sets are a sort of Ping-Pong, the two brothers play each other the ball, consistently, unpredictable and focused. Dramatically mixing genres from minimal to acid, to chicago, techno, rock and house as one, the Teichmann party &#8211; raved about not only by Berliners but surely also Paulistas.</p>
<p>The artist name Tim Vitá consists of a combination of the real name and the intention: to live the love. Working intuitively with a carefully selected and continuously current music variety, Tim Vitá has developed a fine sense to interpret the audience interests and a pleasing appeal.</p>
<p>Last but not least, we have programmed a day-time &#8216;rave&#8217; to either serve as before-or-after hour, depending on your preference, which will take place at MIS / Green Sunset and host workshops as well as discussions, aiming to spark new collaborations between the actors in the scenes. 				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There will be no license fees for the use of the trademark &#8220;hackathon&#8221; in Germany.<br /> <br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;">And here&#8217;s the story about this:</span></p>
<p>YOUNG TARGETS organizes DevCamps, hackathons, and many other projects for &#8220;tech-addicted&#8221; people. However, we never organize them by ourselves, but cooperate with the local community. People who have already built up a community platform to network, have fun and to share expertise with a lot of sweat and volunteer work. Because even though we develop software and hop through startup and professional events since 2000, our core business is completely different: we try to create synergies between businesses and the community. For sure this is always a balancing act, because companies want to present their brand or do recruitig, contrary to the crowd who wants to talk about technical issues and meet other people. Everyone who organized events like this knows: The result is often very unsatisfactory. It&#8217;s getting more and more difficult to cover the cost of the catering, the venue and presentation technology.</p>
<p>For several years, established event formats are always on the edge and are exposed to a commercial pressure (see <a href="http://www.franztoo.de/?p=1311" target="_blank">http://www.franztoo.de/?p=1311</a>). Since we are constantly in exchange with the representatives of such event formats in Munich, Karlsruhe, Berlin and Frankfurt, the idea of ​​a meta-organization that provides a framework such as help in finding a venue, makes contracts with caterers and offers sponsors intelligent models, which are not just a company emblem in the &#8220;Logo cemetery&#8221;: Tech_Hub.</p>
<p>It is the way how things go, that companies decorate themselves with established brands of the community and thereby try to show something like &#8220;street cred&#8221;. After all this is not to be condemned, indeed they form platforms that may are useful for the general public. However they should give something back to the community, if they already use their ideas. In music, there are already established models which make an important contribution in financing the club scene, such as this &#8220;scene specific popularity capital&#8221; can be used by the community as well as the beverage industry. The idea is that a company who hosts a hackathon, contributes to the catering of a User Group meeting, for example.</p>
<p>There will no wave of lawcease-and-desist letters rolling through Germany. However, we will address corresponding companies directly to make a contribution. This may be monetary, but also for example through the provision of venues or financing of keynote speakers. How transparent, sustainable and fair the allocation of funds will be organized, and what will happen to the trademark &#8220;hackathon&#8221; we will discuss in the next few months at various BarCamp and conferences. We will also work on an official legal document in cooperation with Bundesverband Deutsche Startups e.V., which ensures that we have the desired effect without any side effects. Until then we will manage the brand and keep you informed at tech-hub.de (we&#8217;ll launch it until 15.05.). <p><strong>+++++ Update (07.05.2013)</strong></p>
<p>The attempt to take revenue for non-commercial purposes on a licensing model failed.</p>
<p><strong>Why?</strong></p>
<p>Because we did not first founded the nonprofit organization &#8220;Tech_Hub&#8221; that will manage the revenue for the free tech scene. We went a different way. We wanted to finance the creation and development of this platform by license fees. We are aware that we have thereby made us vulnerable, because you could assume, that we did this for a different cause.</p>
<p>Thats why we will delete the trademark &#8220;hackathon&#8221;. 10 companies that have been asked to license, have been informed that we take distance from plans to charge royalties.</p>
<p><strong>Tech_Hub will nevertheless be founded</strong></p>
<p>With <a href="http://www.young-targets.com/formation-of-tech_hub-started/">Tech_Hub</a> we want to create a link to fund free event formats of the tech scene and also taking into account the interests of employer branding and recruiting firms. The aim is to balance pros and cons of interests of the community and the companies and to create solutions that enable sustainable implementation of these projects.</p>
